CAPE AIR AND THE LEBANON AIRPORT REACH 10,000 PASSENGER GOAL
Cape Air carried their 10,000th passenger in 2012 from the Lebanon Municipal Airport on Dec 30th. The Lebanon Municipal Airport is now eligible for $1,000,000 in US DOT Airport Improvement Program funding for 2013. The airport plans to use the funding for airport enhancements.
“When the Lebanon City Council first asked Cape Air to serve the Upper Valley back in 2008 they clearly stated that they wanted the airport reach 10,000 enplanements. That was the mission that they gave Cape Air. This milestone is a testimony to the great partnership between Cape Air and the Community Leaders of Lebanon. We are proud to serve this wonderful community and we look forward to continuing to grow the service,” said Dave Bushy, Cape Air President and Chief Operating Officer.
Cape Air started service from Lebanon Airport in November of 2008 and year over year there has been an increase in passenger ridership. The Lebanon Airport has not seen ridership this high in over 10 years.
Cape Air partners with jetBlue Airways, which allows passengers easy through ticketing and baggage transfers from Lebanon Airport to most jetBlue cities. Cape Air and jetBlue are both located in Terminal C at Boston Logan Airport, adding to the convenience of connecting to more than 100 daily flights to 46 nonstop destinations across the U.S., Caribbean, and Mexico.
