New Marion - Nashville Service Set to Begin January 29, 2020

November 20, 2019

Cape Air, the nation's largest commuter airline, begins flights between Marion, IL, and Nashville, TN, starting Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Cape Air is set to operate 2 flights on weekdays between Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois (MWA) and Nashville International Airport (BNA).  On weekends, Cape Air operates 1 flight per day between MWA and BNA.

Cape Air continues to offer 4 flights between MWA and St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) on weekdays, and 2 flights between MWA and STL on the weekends.

Linda Markham, Cape Air President, remarked, "We are excited to be expanding our service at Veterans Airport by offering multiple destinations to our Southern Illinois passengers. The added service allows residents and visitor’s greater access to Southern Illinois and more options for our passengers looking to connect with our major airline partners in both St. Louis and Nashville.”

Veterans Airport Director, Doug Kimmel, commented, "With Nashville being such a growing destination of its own, and a majority of our market's connecting traffic flowing to points south, we anticipate great success with these new flights."

Fares between MWA and BNA are from $69 each way. Fares between MWA and STL are from $29 each way, including all taxes and fees. While service does not begin until January, flights can be booked now by visiting or by calling 800-CAPE-AIR. Passengers can make reservations in person at the Cape Air City Ticket Office located at 202A North Market Street, Marion, IL 62959.
