Service from Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and Hyannis to JFK Goes Year-Round and with Daily Flights

July 29, 2019

Offering enhanced access throughout the year, Cape Air will begin offering expanded service between Barnstable Municipal Airport, Nantucket Memorial Airport and Martha's Vineyard Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. The augmented year-round air service kicks off on September 16, 2019.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to grow our New York City service, while offering even more options for the Cape & Islands to reach hundreds of additional destination markets,” said Linda Markham, President of Cape Air. “Our initial JFK service proved to be a valuable way for our island communities to easily access Metropolitan New York during off peak season, but the demand for more was there. We look forward to expanding our connections and making it even easier for passengers to access the national system year round.”

Cape Air’s New York City flights are located in Terminal 5, which is the epicenter of JetBlue’s JFK operation, allowing easy connections to hundreds of domestic and international flight options.

“We are very excited about this announcement and think JFK is a great year-round offering for our community,” said Tom Rafter, Airport Manager of Nantucket Memorial Airport. “It brings the best of both worlds in its O&D traffic from metro New York, and provides Islanders the strength of an alternate routing option for beyond flights. We are happy to work with Cape Air to make this service a success.”

The Martha's Vineyard Airport Commission is pleased with this announcement, and the worldwide connectivity that the expanded JFK service will provide to our community,” added Cindi Martin, Director of Martha’s Vineyard Airport.

Cape Air has agreements with most major carriers making travel through JFK simple with baggage check-through and a single itinerary. For more information or to book your ticket visit or call 800-CAPE-AIR.
