The addition of the midweek flight originated after discussions between CNMI Senate President Paul Manglona, CNMI Senate Vice President Jude Hofschneider, and Cape Air’s Founder and CEO, Dan Wolf.  Senator Manglona expressed that visitors to Rota prefer to travel mid-week, and that increasing frequency would have great potential to impact Rota’s tourism-driven economy.  Wolf stated, “We welcome the opportunity to provide a much-needed service to the Rota community, with the ideal outcome being increased numbers of travelers to the island of Rota. Having the chance to work with local representatives and assisting in their goal to improve the economy has been rewarding.” Senator Manglona adds, “The people of Rota, once again, thank Cape Air for being a good partner and for continuing to put Rota on the map.  International as well as domestic travelers will really appreciate this increase in frequency and continued connection to the world.”

Flights to and from Rota can be booked online at united.com.
