Cape Air Surpasses Passenger Records at Ogdensuburg International Airport in 2017

February 5, 2018

Cape Air surpassed its annual passenger record with a total of 11,234 passengers in 2017. This beat the previous annual record of 10,754 set in 2012 by 480 passengers.

Cape Air also saw record numbers in April of 2017 while serving Massena International Airport, with a total of 9,778 passengers in their final 12 months of contracted service in Massena.

“Cape Air’s continued success in Ogdensburg is a direct result of our collaboration with the surrounding community, local Chambers of Commerce, and Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority,” said Linda Markham, Cape Air President. “Cape Air’s focus continues to be providing frequent, reliable service to Ogdensburg, as well as maintaining strong partnerships within the community.”

Cape Air works in tandem with the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority to increase awareness of air service out of Ogdensburg through sponsorships, community engagement, and print and digital promotion both in the U.S. and Canada.

“I am not at all surprised that Cape Air has had success with their flights leaving Ogdensburg,” said Laura Pearson, Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce Director. “They work hard to be a valuable part of the Ogdensburg community, always eager to sponsor Chamber events and donate for all our raffles, as well. We are very grateful to have Cape Air serving the Ogdensburg community, and are excited to see how that partnership will grow in 2018.”

Cape Air operates multiple daily flights from Ogdensburg to Albany and Boston.

“Passengers recognize the great value Cape Air provides for access to Boston, Albany, and points beyond," said Wade A. Davis, Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority Executive Director. "Cape Air’s Jet Blue codeshare, great service, and great value results in a winning combination for Canadian and US passengers alike!"
